Other brands and models that are not listed will also work with the Lid Pocket. The Lid Pocket fits best when the narrowest part of the crock’s rim is one-half inch wide or less.

Why didn't I think of this?
Posted by Roadrunner Rose on 29th Nov 2013
I am the proverbial "queen" of slow cookers. Currently I have three 5-qt models, 1 2.5-qt. single model, and 1 three unit 2.5-qt model, which has its own lid metal holders. With a slow cooker and a microwave, I can just about do without a stove or oven! I came across the Lid Pocket web site accidentally recently when locating a recipe to cook brown rice in my slow cooker. The recipe was on the Lid Pocket site. After printing the recipe (which worked well I might add), I was curious and started reading up on Lid Pockets. I immediately ordered three of them, because there are times I have three slow cookers going at once. They arrived in time for me to use at a Thanksgiving gathering yesterday. They work well on all of my slow cookers. The only modification I have to make is that on one model of my 5-qt. slow cookers, the lip of the crock is too wide at the center for the Lid Pocket to hook over, so I simply attach it closer to the handle at one end. I showed my Lid Pocket to my friends at the Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, so you may have some new customers! They are ideal for people who take their slow cookers to potlucks, etc., and have limited space to store their slow cooker lids nearby. I also like the fact that the condensation is captured instead of going all over the place when you set the lid somewhere. Kudos to Lid Pockets!

It was always a problem finding a place for the lid -- thanks for solving that problem!
Great helping hand!

This is the extra hand you need when using your Crock Pot. What a simple, but great idea. The lid fits perfectly in the pocket, out of the way, but is right there when you need it instead of taking up counter space. Shipping costs were a bit higher than expected, but I ordered it anyway.
I saw this on TV

and thought it was a good idea and ordered 1 for myself and one for my daughter in law. I can't wait to use it. I thought the shipping was high. I will probably order more for gifts.

Had to have it!

The minute I heard of the Lid Pocket, I knew I needed one. My only concern was if the lid would rest flat in the rim with the pocket in place. It was not a problem. The lid pocket does not go under the lid at all, it grabs onto the rim at the side, beyond the lid. This is such a great tool! I love it.
